Villa Katalina

Be careful, this place isn't what it looks like. It's dangerous, with wasp nests on every balcony, and the owner doesn't seem to care. There's mold everywhere and all the furniture is broken. Nobody works here, and people don't care. Don't bring children, or better yet, don't go at all. It's a shame.

The villa is in a beautiful, convenient spot, but sadly it's been kept in very poor condition. We stayed in room 1 and weren't expecting things to be this bad. The location has some good points: it's about 8 km from varna, close to the beach, a 3-4 minute walk, and street parking is available. Inside, though, the room smelled of mold, which seemed to be everywhere. The couch and chairs were broken and impossible to sit on. The A/C was dusty and moldy, and smelled bad. Wi-Fi worked terribly, if at all. There was nothing but towels and toilet paper, no soap, paper towels, glasses, or plates. Only one light in the whole apartment worked. The walls are very thin, and you can literally hear water running in the ceiling. It was awful. I can't recommend it. If we'd had kids with us, we definitely wouldn't have stayed overnight.

This place is dirty, broken and disgusting. Don't rent a room here. My friend had physical problems after one night and went to the hospital.

If you're coming to Varna for the beaches, this is a great summer spot. The top-floor rooms have a lovely panoramic sea view. Just keep in mind that the city center and its big malls are a 5 to 10 minute drive away.
