OYO 119 Le Vondome

The place has changed its name to Park Family Plaza. Be careful, I was charged an overpriced 130 dinar for just six days, and the room smelled like a dead body.

The pictures are misleading, so please check the place in person before booking. I expected a horrendous smell, and things don’t work very well either. I could imagine what this place would be like, but the photos still lie to you.

Do not book this hotel. The rooms are filthy, the staff are very rude, and there’s no parking. If you book online at night, they’ll ask you to pay for the room twice before you can check in. It’s not suitable for anything, and it’s so dirty you could get a disease there.

The building was dirty, smelled of smoke, and had cockroaches and mites. It’s a derelict building above five illegal bars, and I wouldn’t risk my health or safety by staying there. Even on a budget, there are cheaper and much better places. I made an online booking, then went to the hotel less than an hour later because their telephone wasn’t working. There was nobody at reception and no security or other staff. After about 15 minutes, the receptionist finally arrived. I needed to cancel because I’d entered the wrong dates and the hotel was completely misrepresented online. She told me to contact OYO, but couldn’t give me their details. When I asked for a manager, she said he’d tell me the same thing. I’d give it zero stars if I could.
