Easybox Homestay

The place felt cramped and uncomfortable, and I’d suggest looking elsewhere, since another hotel might even cost less. I’d booked three days at this hostel through Agoda during my 10-day holiday in Brunei, but a sudden change to my flight schedule to KL meant I missed the first day and had only two days left. I asked management to move my booking to the next day because the change wasn’t my fault. They agreed at first, then the owner refused without explaining why. I was disappointed.

The price is very cheap and the city center location is good. Beyond that, there’s not much going for it. The shower water wasn’t warm enough, the TV didn’t work, and only one of the three lights by the bed worked. The bathroom is very tight and there’s no chair. If you’re after anything besides price and location, this isn’t the place for you.

It’s a simple hostel in Bandar Seri Begawan, and you get what you pay for. For the price, I think it’s worth it, especially since there’s a private bathroom. The location is nice, close to Gadong market, fast food restaurants, and even a bus station.

The room is small and the air circulation is poor. It’s not far from the airport, and there’s no traffic jam. I’d recommend it for backpackers only.
