The Terrace was an older, less fancy place without the buffet and extras, but my stay there was pleasant. On an earlier trip to Brunei I’d stayed at the Sheraton, now Radisson, and had MANY problems while paying too much. If you’re watching your budget, I’d stay at the Terrace. I was there years ago on my second trip.

WHAT IS THIS? THE HOTEL LOOKS SKETCHY AND UNCLEAN! The bathroom is the only good part of the whole hotel. There are condoms under the bed, and the water kettle is dirty! It’s too old and should be upgraded.

The food was lovely, especially the hotpot, and reasonably priced. The fried noodles were a little oily, but still nice. This charming hotel has a 70's vibe and sits in the heart of the city, within a short walk of The Royal Regalia Museum, Brunei History Center, tamu, and the river waterfront. I rented two bikes, but they weren’t in great shape: one pedal fell off and I had to screw it back on every 200 meters, so I ended up returning to the hotel. There’s parking on site and an airport transfer.

This hotel was well known in the 2000s. Management feels old now, but the place is still very pleasant.

The room was okay. I got stuck in an elevator for 45 minutes, though at least there’s a pool table. If I remember right, it costs $2 for one game or $5 for four.
