The terrace has a fantastic view of the lake, which makes the uphill location feel worthwhile. You’ll probably want a taxi to get there, especially with luggage, and reception can arrange one. The hotel is nicely decorated, with lots of small touches like flowers and distinctive windows and doors. The people are very friendly, the showers are hot, the Wi-Fi works, and breakfast is good.

The place is a little uphill from the center, around a 10-minute walk, but it’s easy enough on foot. A taxi is only 13bs, and being up there gives you an amazing view. The rooms are beautiful and clean, with hot water and tea in the room. Breakfast is included and really good. You can also order food at reception and have it brought to your room. More than amazing, I’d recommend staying here in Copacabana.

The room was spacious and colourful, though a bit chilly, and the shower could have had stronger pressure. Breakfast was decent for the price, with pancakes and eggs, and the kitchen is well equipped. There’s also a shared terrace with nice lake views. Getting up the hill was tiring for us with the altitude and our backpacks, but a taxi is around 15Bs if you need one. It’s a pretty little haven away from dusty copacabana, and they’ve put effort into making it look nice. They didn’t answer the phone or my WhatsApp when I tried to book, but once we arrived, we had a great stay and don’t regret the climb.

Breakfast is included and fab, and the walk into town takes about 10-15 minutes. It’s fine without bags, or you can take a taxi for 15BOB. I paid roughly $22 a night for a private en suite. On my first visit, I got upgraded to an amazing room with beautiful windows and a private patio with a hammock and chairs. The room on my second stay was on the top floor and had an incredible view. It was quite cold during that first visit because there were no heaters, but I had one the second time, so I’m sure you can request one. Such a lovely, quirky wee hotel. I’d recommend it to anyone coming to Copacabana.
