Hotel Wendy Mar

We got to see the rooms before checking in, which I always appreciate. We were four people and got two very nice rooms, with a decent breakfast the next morning. The staff member at reception gave us a last minute discount: a double room was 250 bob instead of the usual 300bob. It wasn't our cheapest stay, but given everything, we were really happy and would probably stay again. This cute little hotel was a lifesaver. We'd arrived at 7 pm after luckily finding last minute transport from La Paz, before protests across the country blocked the roads completely. The hotel is also right across from the pickup point for the “Peru Hop” Busses, literally a one minute walk. After checkout, we left our bags at reception and explored Copacabana before catching the afternoon bus to Peru. The water takes a little while to warm up, but with some patience you can get a warm shower. Soap and shampoo were provided. The rooms were quite cold, though, so having a small heater in each room would be a real plus.
