Hotel Espejo

The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are huge by South American standards, and the location right on the Plaza is convenient. But there are no outside windows, hot water is basically unavailable, and the Wi-Fi never worked. There's a huge arcade inside, so the games' repetitive music makes it noisy unless you have a device playing. If you want quiet or peace, this place isn't for you.

The building also has a children's play area, and the noise was unbearable all day, so don't expect any rest. Our first room had a shower that short-circuited; in the second, the faucet was taped shut. The bathrooms have glass doors, which I'd never seen before. What a shame. I don't recommend it.

It was a horrid stay. The hotel has a pool room and other noisy games for children, with shouting, music, and laughter continuing past 9:30 p.m. The electric showers had running faucets. They moved us to a different room, but that shower faucet was covered in electrical tape too, so it wasn't only one room. The bathroom doors are glass, which is just bizarre. My advice: sleep in the plaza and swim in Lake Titicaca.

They said they'd take us to the floating dock, but never did. There was also a discount for a train that no longer existed, and the other train they mentioned wasn't even theirs. They put us in a room next to the drunks.
