The interior decoration was really nice and welcoming, and breakfast was good. The host was friendly, and they had laundry on site. I think the price was fair for a private room. Wifi worked well, and the shower was a little weak, but had very hot water if I turned the current down a bit.

I was surprised by how good this place was, given it doesn't have the best reviews. My private room was spotless and spacious, with a hot shower and a free towel. It was really affordable, probably the lowest price you could find in Copacabana. The free breakfast was great too, with coffee, toast, eggs and juice. Staff were friendly. It wasn't social at all for a hostel, and the echo in the morning meant I got woken up at 7:30 by people leaving their rooms and walking around. Apart from that, I'd definitely recommend it.

The free wifi was fast and reliable, and they can do laundry or store your luggage while you go to Isla del Sol. The family running the hostal were very caring and attentive, and we had a wonderful stay. Our room faced the main street and got plenty of sunlight. It was spacious too. Some rooms are by the hallway and have inward facing windows, which is just a matter of preference. Towels, soap, blankets and heating were provided. Breakfast was simple but excellent for the very reasonable accommodation price, served from 7.30am to around 8.30/9.00am. Magnificent value for money. Thanks for having us, and all the best to the hosts.

They have filtered water but limit you to "one glass per person." We were told before checking in that there would be hot water, but the shower was cold. When I complained, the lady shouted that it was what I deserved for paying only 80 bolivianos. The place feels really dodgy and is dark at night. The service made us furious and left a bad taste as we were leaving Bolivia. Probably the worst hotel service I've ever had.

Showers were hot and there was a small kitchen. The dorm bed was only 30 Bs, a decent budget option, and we ended up having the dorm to ourselves. It seems like a big hostel, but there weren't many guests while we were there. We had a room key, though it was pointless since the door wouldn't shut properly. There were no lockers, so we had to carry our valuables around Copacabana. Breakfast wasn't included.
