Fratelli Aparthotel

The staff were warm and helpful, and breakfast was modest but enjoyable, with the usual Bolivian hotel selection of fruit, eggs made to order, bread, cakes, yoghurt, cereal, and coffee. It changed a little each day, which was nice. Our deluxe apartment on the 7th floor had a lovely view, a large bedroom window, comfortable beds, and a bathroom that worked well. The hotel itself seems quite new. The kitchen has very little equipment, so cooking a proper meal there isn't realistic. We stayed in December and didn't need heating. Only the living room has it, though, not the bathroom or bedroom. The building is fairly insulated, and sunlight through the big windows warmed the apartment during the day. The location in San Miguel (Calacoto) is handy for restaurants, cafes, and shops, and it's a pleasant part of the south zone. Just be aware it's a long way from central La Paz, around 30-40 minutes by taxi, costing about 50 Bs.
