The people here were so nice. On my last night in Bolivia, I had a bad incident and ended up with no money, phone, or anything, and the lovely manager, or owner, brought me dinner. The hotel was very clean, and I had a wonderful city view from my room and the top floor patio. It’s well placed for walking, near the Witches Market, SF cathedral, and lots of fruit markets. Best of all, a single room with a private bath was incredibly inexpensive, cheaper than camping in a US park. I loved this place.

Booking.com listed the price as 189 BOB, but when I arrived they wanted $20 USD, or payment in Bolivianos using an exchange rate of 14. You can’t even get that rate on the black market today.

The breakfast was pretty lackluster, and the wifi a bit dodgy. Still, this place delivers for the price. The rooms are basic but comfortable and cozy, the location couldn’t be better, and every staff member was incredibly kind and friendly. The laundry service was the cheapest in town as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my three days here.

The rooftop terrace has a lovely view over La Paz. The staff were helpful and spoke English, and the beds were comfortable with a nice warm shower. The hotel was fairly clean and in a pretty safe area. Breakfast was a bit poor, but at least there was something.

The location worked especially well for exploring the city by cable car, though it was about a 15-minute uphill walk to the central station. There were plenty of good cafes and restaurants close by. Our room was clean and fairly spacious, with warm blankets, an okay bed, and a lift in the building. Staff were lovely, breakfast was included and okay, and Wi-Fi handled basic browsing. The shower kept switching between hot and cold for a while, but it was fine on our last day.
