The river view was amazing, and I liked the hot shower and pool. Breakfast on the terrace was good, and it’s around a 10 minute walk to the main center. I was glad to get a private room without booking ahead, so I added an extra star. The room was basic, which was fine, but didn’t seem very clean. My pillowcase smelled, and there was a little trash under the bed. The bathroom door didn’t work properly, and the walls are so thin you can hear everything. They provide mosquito nets, but no hand soap, which seemed odd since other hostels in Bolivia do.

I booked at the last minute for just one night. The place was clean and nice, by the river with a swimming pool, and breakfast was included. The staff were very friendly.

The shower was warm, the air conditioning worked well, and mosquito nets were provided. The bed in our private room was comfortable, though basic. But the staff weren’t very friendly or welcoming, and when we arrived the sink still had hairs in it and hadn’t been cleaned. At night, flies and bugs covered both the room and bathroom. Breakfast was very basic, just eggs, bananas, bread, and jam. There wasn’t an alternative for people who don’t eat eggs, such as pancakes or other fruit. Our stay was okay, but unfortunately I wouldn’t stay again.

It was easy to get to the jungle agencies and restaurants from here, and the rooms were reasonably priced with breakfast included. The staff were really nice, especially the woman at breakfast and reception. The Lobo Hostel is a great spot to unwind, with a clean pool and plenty of hammocks on the roof terrace. I’d come back again and again.

The hostel was really noisy, but the attractive German receptionist’s cute smile made me forget all about it. 10/10 would recommend. Her boyfriend must be the happiest guy ever!
