The plaza is within walking distance, and the place feels quiet and private. The toilet is outside and downstairs, which can be a bit of a task at night, though it was always clean. There are hammocks in the garden, and Lina is a kind host. Breakfast was nice, with eggs, bread, jam, butter and fruit, plus tea or coffee. Since many places close in the afternoon, it might be helpful to have a kettle so guests can make a hot drink whenever they like.

Lina is an amazing woman, and this felt like a truly authentic homestay right in the centre of Samaipata. Booking.com doesn't always show it as available, so get Lina's phone number and book directly with her for a better rate. She serves a simple, delicious breakfast from 08:00am.

We only planned to stay one night, but the clean, characterful and safe guest house won us over and we stayed four. Lina was such a kind and helpful host, and breakfast was among the best we had in Bolivia. It’s just off the main square in Samiapata.

We booked one night in this lovely hostel in the heart of Samaipata and wound up staying three. Lina is incredible, and I really enjoyed chatting with her. Breakfast was delicious too. She has wine for sale, so get a bottle, it’s amazing.

The owner is the real highlight here. She’s remarkable, happy to chat and help, and knows a lot about the city. The hostel has a really nice atmosphere, the staff are great, and breakfast is included and quite good.
