Hotel de Su Merced

The hotel is near the main square, restaurants, and attractions, which made it a great place to stay in Sucre. Our spacious room had lovely furnishings, a comfortable bed, and lots of windows. The front desk fellow was especially helpful and nice, and spoke very good English. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful too. We had an excellent stay at this charming boutique hotel.

We spent four lovely days at Hotel de Su Merced. Its charming rooms were spotless, and there are plenty of inviting spots around the hotel to sit, relax, and visit. The staff were wonderfully hospitable and had great suggestions for food and things to do. Breakfast was excellent, and the plaza and fun coffee shops are an easy walk away. Highly recommend!

Mr Raul at the front desk was the real gem, so attentive and pleasant to talk with. If only every hotel had staff like him. The old building has charm, with antique-looking furniture, and it's less than a five-minute walk to the main square. There’s no fan or air-conditioning, which we didn’t need in the outside temperature, though I’m unsure how that would work in winter or hot summer months. Breakfast had plenty of adequate choices. Restaurants are nearby, and there’s a big supermarket around the corner with a food court, limited choices, and a movie theater showing only Hollywood films in Spanish. Thanks, Bagi

We had a peaceful, truly relaxing time in Sucre. The service was warm, attentive, and professional, and the beautiful colonial house has terraces with lovely views. It sits right beside San Felipe Neri, with everything else an easy walk away. Highly recommended for a quiet stay.
