The sauna and jacuzzi are free to use when you stay here. The jacuzzi is on the small side, so keep your expectations modest, but it feels great on a tired body. Wi-Fi is the one weak point. There are other salt hotels closer to the salt flats, but there’s even less around those places than you might expect. With its location, price, and the unusual salt construction, this is the one I’d recommend most.

We’ve stayed twice, in different rooms, and had bathroom problems both times. The rooms on the ground floor are very dark, while the balcony rooms are larger and nicer. Heating is only through the AC, so it could get cold in winter. Still, it’s a fairly new, nice hotel a few blocks from the ‘main square’, with everything within walking distance. The staff are super friendly and helpful, breakfast is absolutely fine, and free hot and cold water is available anytime. Wi-Fi works fine too. The basic restaurant on the 3rd floor is nice and cheap, with really smiley staff.

We missed our connection and couldn’t reach Uyuni as planned, but Hotel Casa de Sal made the changes quickly and the booking process was easy. Thanks for being so helpful. We’ll definitely come back!

We stayed at Hotel Casa de Sal while travelling around South America earlier this year. The spacious rooms and great meals at the hotel restaurant made for a lovely stay, and the reception team were friendly. It’s perfectly located for joining salt flat tours.

The room was beautiful, and the location was convenient. Friendly staff, a nice view from the jacuzzi, and a good massage.
