Hospedaje Milenio - Hostel

There's a pleasant living room and dining area where you can relax, plus a kitchen, though cooking isn't allowed. My room and bathroom were clean and spacious, but I didn't get a hot shower when I used it. Most places are nearby, around a 10-15 minute walk to the Plaza, bus terminal, and cable car. The walk feels just a little uphill.

The bed was comfortable and the place was clean throughout. Showers were good, with plenty of room to change, and they offer next day laundry. It's good value, especially for a private room. The center is a bit uphill, though still close to the Armentia Telerifico. I thought it was odd that guests couldn't cook, even if I can see how people might leave a mess. An electric kettle would've been handy.

At least the place was clean, but the stay was a letdown. We were first told the kitchen could be used for hot water only, then in the morning they wanted extra money when we tried to get water for coffee. The showers seemed unpredictable, and the taps became live when a shower shorted out. The beds were uncomfortable, and there was a lot of street noise.

They were helpful whenever we needed to change our reservation dates because our plans shifted, and the accommodation itself was nice. The entrance stays locked, so you have to wait for someone to let you in or out. Reception is available 24/7, but sometimes the person takes a couple of minutes to show up.
