I’m very upset by how I was treated at Cafeteria Maria Bonita, whose owner also owns Hotel Dourado. The owner rudely told me never to come back, claiming without any basis that I was getting in the way of an employee doing her job. I had only been there as a customer, chatting politely, and wasn’t trying to interfere with the service at all. A customer should be able to expect basic courtesy, empathy, and professionalism from a local business, along with a good product. If management has a problem with staff productivity or time management, that needs to be discussed between the boss and employee. It shouldn’t be taken out on a customer through rudeness and being thrown out. It’s unacceptable to treat someone like a nuisance just for being there and having a conversation.

The price was great, and so were the facilities, making this very good value. There’s parking next door and it’s easy to get to. José at reception was really attentive, and the coffee was wonderful.
