Pousada Entre Paraisos

We stayed as a couple and loved the place. Our room was clean and had air conditioning, and the pousada is surrounded by nature. Josué, Elizangela, and their mother were wonderful to us and gave us good tips on places to visit and eat. They welcomed our pet and were flexible about checkout. There’s a lovely river behind the property, and there’s a place to cook. It feels safe, on a gated, closed street with just a few houses, almost like a small condominium. Perfect for sleeping. We loved it and will return, you can book with confidence.

We loved the place, and we’ll come back if God wills it. The pousada doesn’t serve breakfast, but there’s a shared kitchen, plus a bakery, restaurants, an ice cream shop, and a pizzeria about a 10-minute walk away. The area is wooded, with lots of birds, and the Rio Mambucaba runs behind the pousada. It’s between Parati and Angra, with many beautiful beaches nearby and warmer water. You can go to either Paraty or Angra for boat trips to the islands, by speedboat or schooner. Josué, the owner, is very organized and attentive, and gave us lots of tips.

The setting is a real draw, with a great view beside the Rio Mambucaba and parking set aside for guests. It’s a simple, clean, well-organized inn, and the welcome is very friendly. It also makes a good base for exploring the beaches and natural sights nearby. Sr. Josué loves hiking and nature photography, especially birds and epiphytic plants like bromeliads and orchids. It’s worth setting aside a day to hike in Parque da Bocaina with him.

We’ve stayed here twice now and will definitely come back. It’s a quiet place, simple but very clean and well organized. Josué is attentive and always ready to help.
