Afs Loft Hostel Aracaju

I ended up staying two nights instead of just one because I liked it so much. It feels like you get hotel-style facilities for the price. The beds were a highlight: the mattresses were very comfortable and didn’t sag, so I slept like a baby. Each bed has a power outlet, a light, and a hook for your towel, and they provide towels at no extra cost. The individual locker in the room is quite small, though it worked fine for my 30-liter bag. The hostel is only two streets from projeto tamar and a short walk from the tourist market. The neighborhood felt peaceful and safe, with restaurants nearby, and I noticed security cameras in the corridors and at the entrance. It seemed especially suitable for women traveling alone. The staff were all attentive, and the cleaning team deserves special praise. This was the cleanest hostel I’ve stayed in. Everything, including the bathrooms, bedrooms, and other shared rooms, was spotless, neat, and smelled fresh. Breakfast was fantastic, plentiful, varied, fresh, and tasty. Having to wash my own plate afterward didn’t bother me at all. The shared kitchen was well equipped and organized, and guests could also have tea.

The building work was noisy, and since my room was near reception I could also hear people there. Apart from that, the hostel was well organized, with good rooms and shared spaces. Its location near Orla da Atalaia made it easy to walk to the beach or events on the waterfront. Breakfast had a good range for a hostel.

I used to feel wary of hostels because everything is shared and there can be so many people, but I loved Hostel Afs. It’s new and decorated with lots of care, with thoughtful details all around. The place was clean and very orderly, and the staff kept up with cleaning throughout the day. The sheets and towels smelled fresh, as did the good-quality mattress and new pillows. The location is handy, near the main avenue, and you can walk to the waterfront and beach. There are both larger, airy rooms and smaller ones at different prices, as well as private rooms. Shared dorms still give each guest their own comforts, including a light, power outlet, phone holder, mirror, and individual locker by each bed. There’s air conditioning that works well, plus pleasant spaces for working and watching TV. Breakfast was great, with a different varied menu each day and regular refills. Since it was a holiday, it was served until 10:30, so we could sleep in. There’s a 24-hour front desk, security cameras throughout, and the place felt quiet, without violence or risk of robbery. The shared kitchen is well equipped, with a microwave, other appliances, drinking water, and a fridge for food. I didn’t see a stove, which I usually expect in hostels where guests cook lunch and dinner. There’s also a laundry area with a small washer and a washing machine, plus somewhere to hang clothes. There are several bathrooms, and rooms upstairs and downstairs.

The breakfast and well-equipped kitchen were both lovely. The whole team was friendly and helpful, and the place was peaceful and very clean. It’s one of the most organized, clean hostels I’ve stayed in. I’d happily come back.
