NB Hotéis

Everything else was pretty good, but the internet situation left me deeply upset. I lost time, got frustrated, and had extra expenses after staff repeatedly failed to follow up. I paid $18 a day for internet for work, $72 for the whole stay, and will ask for a refund for that cost since the hotel was supposed to arrange a usable connection for me. Before booking, I contacted the hotel to check that the Wi-Fi would be good enough for four days of work and got a positive answer (picture attached). On arrival, the signal was too weak for video calls or working with files. The technicians said they'd strengthen it and call me to check, but never did. The next day reception promised to help, then didn't get back to me. Later that same day they said someone would come, and that they'd move me to another room if the connection still wasn't good enough. Nobody showed up or contacted me. On my third day I asked the concierge again. They said the internet worked well but would check and let me know. The concierge seemed visibly annoyed, as if I shouldn't have asked. I never heard back. After the hotel's response, I appreciate that they replied, though I wish they had done so sooner. In our WhatsApp messages I had said I needed good Wi-Fi, and the attached pictures clearly show a connection well below a standard service suitable for general use. My finance job isn't demanding: a normal, stable connection is enough for a couple of video calls a day and working with files. I find it unacceptable when a hotel advertised on Western platforms like Booking.com breaks a condition I relied on when booking. It disrupts guests and damages the hotel's reputation. It also hurts the hardworking staff who aren't involved in what I see as penny-pinching at any cost. I expect the hotel will blame front-line staff or technicians, but to me this disappointing situation came from unethical, profit-driven practices.
