I’ve been traveling around Brazil for a month, and as an Australian I’m not someone who hands out five-star reviews lightly. But this place is special. It’s beautiful, in a perfect spot, very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The value is amazing, too. What makes it stand out even more is Aline, who runs the place. She’s one of the best hosts I’ve stayed with, and she’s also a published author, an artist, and a bit of a celebrity in Buzios. Trust me, you won’t regret staying here.

Casa Flora was so peaceful, and the room and patio were both really comfortable. We stayed seven nights for the first time, and it’s definitely somewhere we’d pick again. Pedro welcomed us, showed us around the facilities, and was very friendly. There’s a shared kitchen, kept spotless and stocked with plenty of appliances to use.

Pedro was efficient at check-in and throughout all our communication during the stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a little balcony, and everything worked well and was practical. The large common area was empty while I was there, so it felt like having the house to myself. The one issue was the house right across the way, which hosts weddings and has a packed schedule. There was funk music all night. The residents of Manguinhos beach have already organized an association to address the problem.

The place looks just like the photos and is close to shops and Porto da Barra, where the sunset is incredible. The hosts were helpful and made me feel at home. The space is well equipped, with a full kitchen and a leisure area with a pool. I definitely recommend it!
