Breakfast was filling, and I never found anything missing, despite what some other reviews say. The inn itself sits among lots of plants, with a lovely pool at the center. Our room was spacious, with one double bed and one single, though the sheets were old, some outlets were broken, and there was a faint musty smell. It isn't the place for anyone seeking luxury. It's somewhat away from things, but the van route on the main avenue is only half a block away and goes to the beaches and town center. Geribá Beach is about a 15-minute walk and has waves. Manguinhos is pleasant for sunset, though not for swimming or spending the day.

The pousada is pretty, and both the breakfast and pool are nice. I had brought my dog without checking whether pets were accepted, so I had to leave. That part was fair enough, rules are rules. The owners agreed to the arrangements and I left without a fuss, but they treated me with shocking disrespect and were incredibly rude. The pousada is good; the owners get zero for empathy and even less for friendliness.
