We arrived at the inn around 11 p.m. on January 25, 2020, after speaking by phone with the owner, Sueli. We asked if we could leave at 5 p.m. the next day because we planned to go to the beach in Búzios, and she agreed. The next morning my husband woke up with severe pain in his femur and knee. He couldn't even come downstairs for breakfast. Soon after, Dona Sueli knocked on our door and scolded us, saying we were using the air conditioning and electricity without going out. I tried to explain what was happening, but she wouldn't let me speak and got worked up. It was deeply embarrassing, right there at our room door. We were made to leave the inn and had to find somewhere else while also looking for a hospital because of my husband's pain. She threatened us. Our stay was horrible, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Everything was lovely and well organized, and we could walk to Rua das Pedras. The owner was so kind and helpful. After our booking had ended, she even kept our bags and waited with me for the taxi. I'd definitely stay at her inn again.

It's a cozy little inn without fancy extras, but for the price it was well worth it. A great place to stay.

It's a few blocks from the city center, and the neighborhood felt somewhat dangerous. Even so, the hostel is good value and I'd recommend it.

Simple place, but clean. Breakfast was weak and served late.
