Hibiscus Center

The patio was a lovely, warm place to spend time with people, and on Friday there was a fantastic show with great music and delicious food. The meals were tasty, and they even prepared packed lunches for us when we weren’t having lunch there. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return. Rebeca and Valery were so attentive and helped us with everything, as did the rest of the staff. The service was outstanding, and the place was beautiful. We left delighted!

The room and bathroom were a good size, the air conditioner was quiet, and some of the staff were very attentive. Still, the stay was disappointing for my family, and the pousada urgently needs renovating. There were several mold spots and a few wall spiders in the room. The door stuck against the floor and wouldn’t open smoothly. The blackout curtains barely darkened the room and were too narrow. The TV had no channels. The shower sprayed the wall more than us, and some tiles were broken. It looked as if the sink water drained outside the room into the open air. We don’t know why, but there was also a puddle near the air conditioner on the morning of our second day. When we arrived, the pousada made it clear that it caters to Argentinians. Their package deals include meals, but if we wanted to eat there, we had to give advance notice. Breakfast came with a one-hour time limit because there weren’t enough tables. There were lots of sweets, but the food didn’t seem very fresh, and the French bread was really soggy. The pool had sand at the bottom since there was no outdoor shower. They should make small fixes between guests too, such as cleaning the showerheads.

Room 110, January 26th, for 7 days. My partner and I had such a lovely stay. Everyone was warm and friendly, from reception and the cooks to maintenance, and even the cats made it feel special. The food was exquisite and homey, especially the Serenito dessert. When some of us had stomach problems, they prepared a separate meal for us. We’ll definitely come back. The inn was comfortable, and the location made it easy to get to both the city center and the beach. Staff were respectful, friendly, and always ready to help.
