Pousada Brisa do Sol

The inn is a practical option if you want to spend little and can put up with some drawbacks. Its central location is a real plus, just a few steps from Rua das Pedras. The contact number they advertise is no longer in service; the right one is (22) 2623-0282. There were a lot of problems during my stay. The front desk smelled like urine, the rooms didn't look very clean, and they were noisy. Breakfast was served at another inn, and there was nothing to drink in the minibar. The staff seemed disorganized and couldn't confirm the reservation, with everything decided on the spot. Toilet paper was also often missing.

We could walk everywhere from this small, simple inn in the center, which was great for us. It met our needs perfectly. There's no parking, though, so finding a spot was a bit of a scramble. Breakfast was basic but really tasty. We had a great stay.

The room was spacious, but the strong sewer smell made the stay unacceptable for me. Breakfast meant walking two or three blocks to another inn, which was inconvenient. I can't recommend the place, and the only reason I'm giving it one star is that I can't give it zero. They also used my things without asking. My phone charger was taken, which was really inappropriate. When I stayed at Mare Blue last year, nobody touched my belongings, so this bothered me a lot. 😠😠😠😠

They changed my room and put me in a claustrophobic one, with a toilet seat that looked like it had been found in the trash. I left for another inn and am still waiting for the money I paid to be refunded.
