Villa Santa Fé

The location made everything easy, with restaurants, bars, the plaza market, an ice cream shop, beaches, attractions, and tour companies all close by. Parking is tricky, though. They work with someone who charges a daily rate nearby. We were there with my wife, our one-year-old son, and two other family members. Everyone treated us kindly and respectfully, and the staff were patient with our son. From breakfast and housekeeping to helping us settle in and saying goodbye, the customer service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and seemed to care about what guests needed. Breakfast was great, with made-to-order options plus buffet fruit and pastries. The rooms had tasteful decor and felt peaceful, with plenty of movie and entertainment channels and decent-sized showers. I couldn’t be happier with our stay, and I’ll look to stay here again when we bring the family to Buzios.

The location is the best thing about it, and I appreciated the suggestions for places to get breakfast. But the room smelled bad, and I couldn’t figure out why. I tried to speak with the manager, but he left the hostel at 4 p.m. When I tried to reach him, he didn’t answer. Instead, he sent the gardener to tell me he’d talk to me the next day. Definitely poor customer service.

Santa Fe is right in the heart of the city center, and it’s comfortable, clean, cozy, and extremely affordable. I’d stayed in Buzios once before but hadn’t known about the markets, or even where to find the best acai. Elizabeth gave me helpful local tips, including travel times to different beaches and a recommendation to try the tacos. The staff were happy to help. I had an excellent stay. Thanks again to Elizabeth and the team.

The receptionist was really kind, and the room was perfect. A perfect night here.
