The hotel was super clean and inexpensive. Neguinha was one of the best guides around. She served our breakfast and told us about the city.

The rooms were very good, with air conditioning, a solar-heated shower, a minibar and a TV. The towels and sheets were clean and changed every day. Breakfast was good, and the housekeeping staff, receptionist and manager were excellent. The inn is close to two beaches, the local church and Rua Mucugê, which are among the main attractions after 4 p.m. The little square with handicrafts, live music, bars and food and drink stalls is on the street behind it. There's also a supermarket downstairs and a Banco do Brasil branch next door. It’s easy to get around on foot. There’s no enclosed parking, but the area felt quiet enough that we could leave the car in front of the inn. There are guards and cameras. The price was excellent, too. I booked well in advance and paid 50% upfront, which got me a great discount.

I liked the hotel overall, but the phone signal inside is terrible, and the Wi-Fi is just as bad. Instagram images take ages to load.
