The wildlife is everywhere, even around the lodge. We saw monkeys, caimans, turtles, macaws, loads of other birds, and even tapirs. I especially loved the night safari and the boat trips. Roger was a fantastic guide, patient and full of knowledge. The whole place feels peaceful and unlike anywhere else, a great choice if you love wildlife and want to see another side of Brazil. My room was simple, clean, and roomy, and the hammock was a favorite. The pool was nice, though it often had leaves and dead bugs in it, and there was no shade. The food was good, but as someone who doesn’t eat meat I sometimes found the choices limited. The desserts were lovely. Most staff didn’t speak English, but everyone was kind and helpful.

The guides knew a lot and gave us space rather than being intrusive. Mine was Leonardo. The owner, Dona Alice, and the staff really make an effort to help you have a fulfilling stay. It’s a hidden paradise for anyone who loves animals and birds.

A really special place, and Lala and Samwell are a lovely example of that. Lala is wild, but clearly adores Samwell. Each day she flies from her night roost in the nearby trees and lands on his shoulder, and they share intimate moments. Bruno, the nature guide, was especially knowledgeable and could answer questions about the wetlands and Savana, while the staff generally were friendly, hospitable, and helpful. The lodging is basic, but clean and tidy. Some investment is due, though: the buildings need painting, the decor could be updated, and some sheets and pillows should be replaced. It was an exciting experience.

You should meet Chico, the friendly little monkey, he’s a delight. The rescue area was open to us, and we could interact freely with the animals. The staff also had stories about where the animals came from, which added a lot to the setting. Everyone was warm and welcoming. An amazing place for anyone wanting to experience the Pantanal.

Comfortable rooms, tasty food, and great service in a lovely location. A great lodge for seeing wildlife, definitely recommended!
