Pousada Naturalia

The reception team spoke good English and were genuinely helpful. We also liked having free water and board games available at reception. But for nearly €200 a night for a standard room, we expected more. During several days of heavy rain there were no umbrellas, just rain capes for sale at 8 reais. Breakfast was a letdown: flies were around the food, the cakes tasted like bread, and the scrambled eggs stayed empty for about half an hour. The orange juice was very good, but we'd had much better breakfasts at cheaper pousadas on our trip. The price didn't feel justified by what we got.

The grounds were wonderful, and we really enjoyed the fresh breakfast and the coffee and cake they provide. Everyone was helpful, including with arranging our transfers from Rio to the hotel and back to the airport. We loved staying at Pousada Naturalia and would definitely recommend it. 🌴🥥

The staff are what made our stay at Pousada Naturalia so memorable. They were warm, helpful, and happy to do anything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and a little balcony we loved. The place was beautiful, quiet, and had lovely breakfast plus afternoon tea and cake. If you're visiting Ilha Grande, this is a great place to stay. We can't recommend it enough.

I could have stayed in my room forever, the view across the bay was spectacular. They also serve high tea in the late afternoon alongside breakfast, which is a lovely extra. The reception staff speak English, seem to enjoy their work, and are happy to suggest things to do or help plan excursions.
