Pousada Solar Da Praia

The rooms are basic but comfortable, just what you need, and breakfast was great. Even though it’s right beside the pier, it’s quiet and private. The location is excellent, and the service and staff couldn’t be faulted.

This was our second stay, and we really like the place. The room is simple, with a mix of beach and homey feel, and it’s right by the main boulevard. There’s a lovely porch outside the rooms and a beautiful garden. The staff are among the friendliest anywhere, and both the service and breakfast are amazing. A real gem.

The reception team is great at helping with all sorts of things, from tours and restaurants to supermarkets, even when it’s beyond their responsibilities. The staff are excellent, and the pousada is directly across from Praia Abraão, just 10 meters from the island’s main pier, with everything close by on foot. Drinking water is scarce on the island and carefully conserved, so please bear that in mind if you ask for more. I highly recommend this Pousada.

The managers and staff made us feel very welcome and were always ready with good suggestions for things to do in the Vila. My family and I had three really pleasant days here. The pousada is cozy and has a wonderful location, with a great breakfast and a view of the sea. We’ll be back!
