The breakfast was simple but delicious, and the attendants were great and helpful. Still, the noise issue is real: music playing outside can be heard loudly throughout the pousada. During our stay from the 25th to the 26th of July, we both woke up with bite marks all over our bodies. We suspected bed bugs, but when we told the receptionist, she said they were probably muriçocas. We weren't convinced.

We had a room facing the river, and the location was great, near the restaurants and bars. A big thank you to the woman at reception who ran after checkout to bring me something I'd left in the room. That was so kind of her ☺️

The atmosphere was so peaceful, and the location was great. Our room had a perfect view and was extremely clean, smelled fresh, and came with excellent quality bedding. From the moment I arrived, the team welcomed me warmly. Breakfast was the highlight, plentiful, fresh, and delicious. I had a wonderful stay at Vilas-Boas, and would definitely return and recommend it to friends and family.

They welcomed us before the scheduled time, and the location was wonderful. Our quadruple room worked well for us. The TV isn't smart, but each guest gets an outlet beside the bed, which is great. We bought lunch, but the establishment's policy meant we couldn't eat it in the dining area. They did lend us cutlery, and there are some tables outside. The street had live music at night, but we couldn't hear it from our room. The shower was good, and breakfast was very good, with cuscuz, tapioca, and eggs made to order. There's no yogurt, though, and the air conditioner was broken, so the room got hot. The sun also hits some of the tables. On our last night, the power went out on Av. Beira rio for an hour. They lent us an emergency light for our room. I don't know if that happens often. Reception sells a few drinks at fair prices.
