Castelo Palace Hotel

It was okay.

The room itself was excellent, and breakfast was wonderful, with plenty for a traveler. The receptionist was very attentive, too. There’s a good bakery and restaurant just three minutes away on foot. What made the stay difficult was the unbearable noise around the property: people talking loudly and laughing, with the rooms’ metal windows facing the corridor. I had a poor night’s sleep. I’d give the place a 7 out of 10.

My wife and I stayed in the LUXO category room for couples, with a view of the city of BATATAIS. The breakfast was complete, and everyone was courteous. BRUNO handled us at RECEPÇÃO and gave excellent service, helping us out on several occasions. We were delighted with the hotel, how clean it was, and Bruno’s service. We plan to come back again. I was there for work, and the guy at reception was friendly and made the process easy. The city seemed quiet, and I parked on the street without any problems. Some people say breakfast is weak, but for a work hotel I’ve had much worse. This one was pretty good, and they even had a classic rocambole during my stay, which alone gets a 9/10 from me, haha. Noise is the big issue. The iron windows don’t have glass insulation, so you can hear the surroundings. I heard the neighbor the whole time, and rooms in the middle also pick up people talking in the parking corridor, like mine did. The windows seem old and could probably be replaced pretty easily. The good points are spacious rooms, shampoo and conditioner, a minibar, snacks, air conditioning, a roomy bed, a pool, billiards, and a great location. With those positives weighed against the negatives, I still think it’s worth the money. There’s also a restaurant and bakery on the same block, so the essentials are just a few steps away.
