Comodoro Tourist Hotel

I canceled before checking in and went to another hotel in Contagem. When I arrived to park, I found out there was no parking at the hotel. The lot was 600 m away, and the guy there was very rude, demanded 60 reais, and told me to leave both the car and the key. He was maneuvering other cars and yelling at customers. When I refused to leave my key, he rudely told me to get out. Back at the hotel, there were a lot of homeless people and drug users in reception asking for water, food, and money. It seemed like they were used to hanging around there. Don't be fooled by the photos and listing like I was. If the same thing happens to you, please leave a review here so others don't get caught out.

The Wi-Fi didn't work at all, and the room looked nothing like the photos in the ad. It was poorly cleaned, with dust on the furniture, floor, and inside the closet. The plywood was peeling from the bathroom walls, the sheets and towels had holes and stains, and the only outlet near the bed was broken and held with tape. Maybe it was lucky it didn't work, because it could've been dangerous. We were meant to stay two nights but left after one. Too bad about the lost money, but it felt like being in The Shining, without the hotel's elegance.

The receptionist was rude and spoke unclearly, then had the nerve to confirm that there really is no parking. He even questioned whether the complaints were true. I called the place just now and got a sarcastic response from someone who could barely speak properly. I told them they should cancel the reservation. This is a lot of misleading advertising, and I’m contacting Procon.

They advertise the parking as free, then charge $60. I wouldn’t recommend it. With so many good hotels in BH, you’d be better off looking elsewhere.
