Palazzo Torquetti Condo Hotel e Eventos

The rooms were easily the worst part. There's a simple locked door in the middle of the room, and you can hear everything from the next room through it: the toilet flushing, sink noise, and TV. There's basically no privacy, and I don't get why such a beautiful, new hotel would make the rooms this way. You can end up annoyed by your neighbors, and annoy them too. The hotel itself is lovely and new, with excellent bedding, mattresses, and pillows, plus a wonderful shower and a good breakfast. The pool view is unbelievably beautiful, although the water isn't heated. The jacuzzi was under maintenance my whole stay, Tuesday through Friday, and I don't understand why the repair took so long. I'd come back for the pool and leisure facilities, but I'm not sure it's worth it for a restful stay. If you don't mind being disturbed or disturbing others, go for it.

I had a great stay overall and would come back. The room was spacious and very good, with two bathrooms, a fridge, and comfortable beds. The staff were wonderful, always kind and courteous, from reception and security to housekeeping and maintenance. Breakfast was very good, and the view from the 15th floor was lovely. The pool wasn't heated, and the air conditioner began dripping water. Maintenance fixed it, but it started leaking again soon after. The magnetic room key also gave us trouble, so we had to go back to reception several times.

The hotel is clean and has good facilities, but a few things are worth knowing. Before we arrived, we were told a set of pots and pans would be available for the kitchen. When we asked for them, staff said the hotel didn't provide any. After we insisted, they gave us just one. There was no kitchen bin, sponge, or detergent either, so you have to bring those yourself. There is a washing machine, but no laundry soap is provided. In our room, both air conditioners, by the bed and in the living area, were weak and didn't cool properly. Service in general wasn't good: staff seemed a bit lost about the information, especially for the kitchen, and we were given conflicting answers.

The rooftop is the real highlight at Palazzo Torquetti. Its infinity pool looks out over the city toward the striking Serra do Curral, and there's a sauna, SPA, and top-notch gym up there too. It makes a great place to relax above the busy city. At Avenida Raja Gabaglia, 3.700, the modern Palazzo Torquetti Hotel brings a different view of BH. It currently has 90 apartments, with 367 units expected to be available soon, for guests looking for comfort and convenience. A stay here is a chance to breathe in the mountain air and enjoy the scenery of Minas Gerais.
