The breakfast was good, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The owners were attentive, and special praise to the very friendly, kind, helpful, and thoughtful employees Lucia and Rose. The natural surroundings really are beautiful, too. Still, there are quite a few things to consider. The place is isolated, about 11KM from town, and hard to reach along an unmarked dirt road. If it rains, you may not be able to get there. You need a good car; UBER won’t go. There’s nothing nearby, so you’re stuck relying on the place for food, drinks, and even water. There’s no water dispenser, no TV or minibar in the room, and drink prices aren’t displayed. WiFi is almost nonexistent. Using the barbecue costs R$ 150,00 for maintenance and cleaning. Lunch is R$ 35,00 per person, and an afternoon snack or pizza costs R$ 28,00 per person.

The service deserves a 10, from the welcome to Dona Iara and Sr Eduardo, the hosts and owners. Dona Lúcia puts a lot of love into the light, farm-style breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, and also cleans and tidies the rooms. This is my third visit, and I’ll be back again. There’s loads to do outdoors: paintball, a trampoline, a huge pool and lawn, ping-pong, pool, foosball, barbecue, soccer and volleyball fields, and horseback rides. It’s pet-friendly, too. The place is isolated, about 10 minutes by car along a dirt road, which is exactly the idea. It’s a unique place to disconnect and reconnect with yourself. For anyone who cares about convenience and tech, they take cards, there’s a minibar in the room, big fans, a very comfortable bed, and a large bathroom. Claro gets cell service. They also have partnerships with a ballooning, rafting, and skydiving company.

The location is beautiful, but we didn’t stay. When we got to the room, we found a huge spider, and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned well, so we decided to go somewhere else. The inn has the potential to be excellent because of its setting, but it needs some improvement, at least in the room we saw. Even though we left, I paid the full amount.
