The warm pool was wonderful, and we even swam in the rain. Our suite was lovely, with a fireplace and a huge bed, and everything was clean and fresh smelling. Breakfast was outstanding, especially the unforgettable croque. The best part, though, was how Elcio welcomed us and looked after us. We felt at home, and after staying in so many places, this was easily the best inn we've been to. We're already looking forward to coming back.

Pousada Boutique das Hortensias is on a quiet hillside, with excellent rooms and kind, attentive staff. Tati deserves a special mention for being so helpful and willing. Elcio, the owner, leads the team and makes a real effort to help guests feel at home and part of the family. He also prepares some of the excellent breakfast himself. If you're staying in Monte Verde, this is the inn we'd choose, and it's where we'll return next time.

A quiet place with a deck and heated pool for sunny days, plus a fireplace to warm up when it's cold. The owner, Elcio, gives special attention and personally makes some of the breakfast treats. I even had to take some home. The comfort, charm, service, and the best breakfast in Monte Verde make this place well worth a visit.

We've been to Monte Verde many times, but this stay at Pousada Hortênsias Boutique was a lovely surprise. The service from everyone was impeccable, and breakfast was a real burst of flavor. Our room was spacious and cozy, with an extremely comfortable bed that was just right after a day exploring downtown, and the shower was lovely and relaxing. It's pet friendly, too. There's also a pool, a game room, and a charming atmosphere. We absolutely loved the place and will definitely come back.
