Pousada Monte Serrat

The owners and the employee who prepares breakfast made the stay feel like being at a family member’s home. They shared tips on tours and places to eat, and the location is good. Breakfast was in line with what I’d expect from the inn. The room service was the letdown: I stayed two days and got no service at all, not even a made bed, fresh towels, or a swept and cleaned bathroom.

The room was spacious and clean, and the woman who helped us in the morning was really friendly. I didn’t have breakfast, though I heard a woman praising it. I had trouble with the shower water, which was barely coming out, and one staff member was grumpy and unpleasant. We left our key at reception when we went out. When we returned, he said the builder had it because maintenance was underway, but I don’t think the builder should have had access to our room while we weren’t there.

It’s good value, and the inn is clean and well looked after. Breakfast is good, with Elza serving it in a way that makes you feel at home. The owners are around, so any problem can be sorted out right away. There’s also a gym on the first floor, available to guests at no extra charge.

The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well organized, and we had a very good stay with our family. Everyone was attentive and welcoming, especially ELZA. She was lovely and professional, and her service stood out. Her warm welcome made us very happy. Sending our hug to her, and may God bless her and everyone there.
