Pousada Boca da Mata

I've been here a week now, staying for 15 days, and choosing this pousada was the best decision. I researched Boipeba, places to stay, and things to do. Since it's late April and the island isn't as hot, we chose a room with a fan, which has worked well. The beds are comfortable, everything is clean and organized, and the veranda overlooking a lovely garden is great for late afternoons and evening chats. João has made a huge difference. He's an excellent host, very helpful, and his great tips have made the stay feel perfect. He's taken care of everything we've needed, and I feel at home. The Wi-Fi is reliable enough for me to work remotely. The breakfast is excellent. I tried a few other places in the first days, but after discovering the breakfast offered here for an extra charge, I booked it for the rest of my stay. It's fresh, carefully prepared, and good value, especially since food costs more on an island and other places charge more for fewer choices. The team also makes delicious biscuits right there. The location is the icing on the cake. Moreré beach and the main restaurants are under three minutes away, and Bainema is a five to seven minute walk. It's very close to the tractor stop, which is useful for getting around, arrivals and departures, taxis, and tours. If you don't want to walk much, it's a great option. Quad bike rides also cost more for places farther from the tractor stop. There are two small grocery shops on the same street, less than a minute away, a bakery two minutes away, and a gym two minutes away. Those things mattered to me. It's quiet, surrounded by forest, with a beautiful garden and close to everything. Whether you're staying a short or long time, the location makes getting around easy. I recommend it and am already planning to return to the island and this pousada. Wishing the whole team lots of success for the lovely stay and unforgettable moments.

For what you pay, think about which comforts matter most to you. This is a very simple place, and the best thing about it is the location, on Rua do Cajueiro between Moreré and Bainema beaches. We felt safe, which counts for a lot. The staff are lovely, and the service is great. The room can get hot, and the fan isn't enough on very hot days and nights. There was no hot water in the shower, and the non-cotton sheets made the heat worse. On our first day, the room and bathroom weren't very clean. They did a good job cleaning the next day, but used so much bleach that the bathroom smelled strongly of it. Wi-Fi worked fine for chat, though we didn't try streaming. Internet matters a lot in Boipeba. Breakfast is good and helps make the stay pleasant, but it's charged separately.

Great value, wonderful service, and a peaceful, safe stay. Breakfast is delicious, though charged separately, and it's just a two-minute walk to Moreré's central beach. I'd recommend it to anyone.

We were made to feel very welcome by Vítor and Ligeirinho, and the service was a 10. The breakfast is generous, the value is excellent, and the pousada is just 100 meters from what I'd call the most beautiful beach in Bahia. I recommend arranging tours through the pousada.
