We wanted to relax and have fun, but I wouldn’t return or recommend this hotel. At checkout, I didn’t really understand the comment that we’d used a hand towel as a bath mat. I had used the towel that was on top of the toilet, but there didn’t seem to be any point in arguing. We’d put out the do-not-clean sign and kept the key, yet the room was cleaned anyway. I’m not sure how that works when they do the opposite of what you ask. The service at the restaurant was poor. Staff spent more time talking to each other than serving, despite there being more staff than customers. The caipirosca tasted like plain juice with no alcohol, and it was expensive. We came back every day to use the pool but avoided the restaurant. The hotel also had no internet for a day, and nobody told us until I asked later in the afternoon. We chose the place partly because it advertised a game room for the kids, but it turned out to be just one broken foosball table. Nobody mentioned that when we arrived, so don’t count on much entertainment for children. On the first night two bed linens were dirty. I had to ask for clean ones and change the bedding myself, even though that should have been taken care of. Our room was far from reception, so we had to rely on the hotel transport. It often took longer than expected, leaving us to walk a long way on a badly maintained road. The road was rough even for the vehicle they provided. They should fix it or explain the conditions so guests know what to expect. When I asked reception to move us closer, the man said it was because I’d paid cheaply. I was willing to pay more, and I’d checked online that other rooms were still available, but he showed no interest in helping or answering my questions. Breakfast also needs attention.
