I wouldn't recommend Ibis budget Campinas Aquidaban after my stay. The room wasn't clean, the upper bunk mattress was damaged, and the sheets were messy. I also got sick after an air-conditioning problem. Service was disappointing overall, and the housekeeping staff were especially rude.

It's a compact but functional hotel, with clean, well-maintained facilities. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are good. Breakfast is small, but there are plenty of fruits and other choices. It's good value and conveniently close to the city center.

I needed a place for one night in Campinas while I was there for a 21 km run. It's an easy hotel to get to, and I'd recommend it for one person staying a couple of days.

The area didn't seem safe for walking, though the parking garage has electronic access and we saw two guards at the entrance. Breakfast wasn't included, and nobody mentioned it at check-in. The room layout was awkward. There was barely space to move around the bed without hitting the TV. The toilet is in a separate area with no room to sit, and its door could hit you in the head. At check-in, they didn't verify my credit card. Then, 24 hours after checkout, they called to say the card hadn't been approved, which was a lie.

Letícia Mattos's attention to detail makes a real difference at this unit. From the linens and towels to the general upkeep, everything meets the IBIS Budget standard. It's clear she's managing the hotel well.
