Hotel Colonial

Fine.

The team here deserves a 10, they were attentive and helpful, and breakfast was complete and delicious. Having secure parking on site was a real plus. My single room and bathroom were compact but very well laid out, and the room was always clean and smelled fresh. There was a comfortable single bed, air conditioning, cable TV, and a desk. The electric shower had cold, warm, and hot settings. It's about 6 km, or 12 minutes, from the international airport, and Norte Sul Plaza Shopping is close by at around 2.3 km, about 6 minutes. Great value for money in Campo Grande, MS. I recommend it.

I usually book this place for a quick stop between flights. It's the sort of stay where I can shower, rest, and have coffee the next morning, and I keep it brief, generally no more than 24 hours. It's an older, simple hotel without much luxury, but the value for money is fair.

The breakfast is the slightly better part, since it's served at the hotel next door, but it's still pretty weak. The room felt like a prison cell. I found cockroaches during the first two days and asked to change rooms, then my colleague in the room opposite found them too. The air conditioner sounds like a bus in the room. The TV remote only changes channels, so I had to get up to turn the TV on or off or adjust the volume. They don't provide face towels. A terrible stay.
