The dorm was a mess, with random belongings scattered around, and the toilets were really dirty. Getting there takes about a 30-minute walk from town, and the route felt sketchy at night. Hostelworld reviews also seemed fake to me. You have to book at least two nights, and I wouldn't stay here again. One of the worst hostels I've tried.

I only ended up here because the other places were full, and it was a bad stay. They put me in what was basically a wooden shed, with no pillow or fresh sheets. It was hot, poorly ventilated, noisy, and full of mosquitoes, so sleeping was hard. The staff didn't seem to care. Avoid it if you can.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the views are lovely. It's a nice spot for camping, though the bathrooms were a bit dirty and the price felt a little high for what was included.

Everything felt tidy and well organized, and it's about a five-minute walk to the swimming beaches. The people running the place are lovable, and the other guests were polite, which made it feel like a Greenpeace place. Totally safe and enjoyable, with lots of cute dogs, a little lake, and a small Ilha de Ilhan. :)

The location is great, but the stay was frustrating. We paid for a double room with a bathroom and terrace, then were put in a dorm instead. They also asked us for a 20 reais cleaning fee, yet wouldn't even change the bed sheets. We were given only a mattress cover, and no towel. When we tried to speak with the woman at reception, who was the owner, she avoided the conversation and only gave a bored answer if we kept insisting. The owner's attitude and care for guests need a major improvement.
