Pousada Vila do Lago

The staff were the part that charmed me most. They're cheerful, attentive, and truly care about the guests, and you can feel that in all the little details. The inn itself is wonderful, with very clean, cozy rooms, and the breakfast is divine 😍. I loved my stay and will definitely come back!

The drive to the inn is along a good dirt road, calm and manageable in any car, and it's about 10 minutes from downtown Capitólio. You can even get delivery there without any trouble. We arrived at night, so I couldn't see the view at first, but Marcela gave us such a warm welcome that it made all the difference. The next morning, I opened the window and was struck by the incredible peace and the natural scenery. The room was immaculate, spacious, and cozy, and breakfast was fantastic. Special thanks to the women in the kitchen. Pousada Vila do Lago was a last-minute recommendation from a tour agency, so I hadn't researched it much and just trusted their suggestion. I'm already counting the days until we return. There's also a very cute mascot at the inn who made the stay even more special.

The setting is right in front of a beautiful lake and mountains, a great spot if you're looking for rest and peace. Just take care on the dirt road on the way in: there are three small bridges with openings in the middle, so you need to be careful crossing them. The inn is clean, organized, quiet, and comfortable, and everyone on staff is kind, polite, and attentive. I recommend it and will certainly come back.

Douglas takes such good care of the guests and is extremely helpful. And don't forget Lola, the inn's sweet little dog who brings even more joy to the place. The location is perfect with a wonderful view, and the breakfast is wonderful too. The facilities are exceptionally clean and well maintained, and the room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. There's also a barbecue grill guests can use freely, with everything needed to make a barbecue.
