Valle da Benção Pousada

For the price, this simple inn was about what you’d expect in a tourist town. The room was small, though it could fit two couples, and it had the basics for an overnight stay. There’s Wi-Fi, a TV with Netflix, and a hot shower. Breakfast was good, with simple options. I’d just suggest giving the bathroom a more thorough cleaning.

I had a terrible time at Valle da benção and won’t go back. The air conditioning didn’t work, the beds sagged badly, and the juice at breakfast tasted more like water than juice. Service was confusing too. The staff didn’t know which room we were supposed to have, and I was moved through three rooms over two days.

I was disappointed with what I got for the nightly price. The room felt like an old basement, and the bathroom was in terrible shape, with a broken floor that made me afraid I might fall. There wasn’t a mirror in either the room or bathroom. The place itself is very old, and the staff weren’t welcoming or good at receiving guests. Breakfast was average on the weekend and poor during the week. For what they charge, I expected better service.

The only thing I liked was the parking. I regretted staying here. The rooms were cramped, with sagging mattresses that made them uncomfortable, and my bathroom was old and had cobwebs. There was no toilet paper, so I had to ask for some. My room also had no TV, and nobody explained or offered a replacement. Breakfast was average. The staff didn’t seem to know how to treat guests, and the woman at reception asked for payment as soon as I arrived, with no warmth or courtesy. It gave me the feeling they thought they were doing me a favor. The daily rate is high for this level of service. I’ve stayed in hotels by the beach in Maceió for much less. I do NOT recommend it!
