The sheets and towels were so rough that I was glad I’d brought my own, and the keys seemed pretty flimsy too. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but okay. The TV was tiny and grainy, and the bathroom window meant anyone could see me showering. The shower was strange and splashed water everywhere. And the elevator takes forever to open its doors.

The receptionists were lovely and very patient with me since my Portuguese isn’t great. I liked the place, except for the person I assume was the owner. They complained when we went outside to smoke, charged us for using a spoon, then asked for it back as soon as we left our room.

The building itself is a little old, but the furniture is new, and everything was clean and nice. Breakfast was plentiful too.

Very clean hotel, with a good breakfast and a price that’s quite affordable.
