Pousada Vista Verde

A well located inn in a pleasant mountain and countryside setting, with lots of flowers and nature around. The rooms are cozy and clean, and breakfast is spectacular, with plenty of variety and delicious flavors.

The second time around, Cunha’s 23rd Pinhão Festival stay surprised me. I hadn’t liked it much on my first visit years ago. This time I stayed in a very charming, peaceful chalet surrounded by greenery. The pool looked great, though the weather didn’t cooperate. The bed was really comfortable, and the linens and towels were changed as usual. There’s also a hammock, and we even got a little Easter treat. Breakfast and the service were excellent, and there was plenty of parking. It’s not close to the center, but driving there and finding a space was easy. The chalet was a good size; it just needs a few hooks on the bathroom wall or door.

The owners were friendly, and breakfast was good. It’s a nice option in Cunha with a huge pool, though the wood-fired sauna was disappointing.

I loved the stay, and breakfast was delicious. I hadn’t expected the inn to be on a busy avenue, but the noise didn’t bother us at all. On a cold night, choosing a room with a fireplace was a great call.
