I had a terrible stay. The pillows smelled bad and had dirty pillowcases, and the bedspread was dirty too. The shower was faulty, with water coming out over the top, including a huge cold trickle right in the middle of the hot water. I don't recommend it.

I've stayed at Vila Tata four times now and really like how practical it is. It's a mix of a hostel and an inn, with a roomy bathroom and bedroom, plus a shared kitchen and laundry. The location is perfect, and it's great value for money.

The neighborhood is quiet, and the staff were lovely. The receptionist who welcomed us was very attentive, and the woman serving breakfast was very friendly. The place was good, though I would have liked more shelves and hooks in the bathroom and hot water at the sink. There's a TV in the hallway rather than in the room, but we didn't miss having one there.

It's simple, but it worked really well for us. Everything was very clean and organized, and the reception staff were friendly and willing to help. I'd stay here again.
