Hotel Ravenna

Great...

Great.

The location is really convenient, with bars, restaurants, and markets close enough to reach on foot. The staff were very attentive, and the breakfast was delicious with lots of good options. Still, I couldn't eat much because of the cockroach-filled room I was first given, right next to the dining room. They moved me to a clean, seemingly renovated room on another floor, the second, and I didn't see any cockroaches there. But it had no minibar, so the things I'd already bought at the market had to be eaten warm. On that second floor, once breakfast service started, I could hear staff and guests talking loudly and making a lot of noise. I'm not sure whether it was the room's soundproofing or the dining room, but it was very noticeable.

The daytime staff were a real highlight, polite, helpful, attentive, and always up for a good conversation. The rooms were kept spotless and organized, the breakfast was wonderful for both variety and quality, and the view was lovely. Most of my stay was very positive. The night reception was a big change in comparison, especially with the welcome and sense of security. I was treated rather rudely, and someone came into my room in the middle of the night. That was treated as if it were normal, which felt very different from the otherwise excellent team. I hope they review this, because the hotel has the potential to make the whole stay a good experience.
