Hotel Ruy Barbosa

Breakfast was the one bright spot. There weren’t many choices, but what they served was good quality, and the woman in the kitchen was very polite and attentive to my family. We stayed in December, and I thought the price was far too high given what we got. We arrived at night to a parking area with no lighting at all, which looked like a vacant lot. Things got worse in the rooms: one had a shower that didn’t work, an old, very uncomfortable mattress, a TV that was out of order, and exposed wiring. In the other, the toilet was loose and leaked when flushed, the towels were old, and there wasn’t even a fitted sheet on the bed. I complained at reception about some of it, but I was exhausted after driving for 12 hours and couldn’t switch hotels, especially since payment was taken when we arrived.

The rooms were comfortable, clean, and had air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Staff were courteous, and it was easy to contact the owner directly whenever needed, which made the stay feel cared for and reassuring. The central location also made it easy to reach Eunápolis’s main spots. Breakfast was complete and well prepared.

A very welcoming place, with a warm reception. The hotel is under new management now, too. I’d definitely recommend it.

The hotel has really changed under the new management. Great location, a lovely breakfast, and the room smelled fresh. The service was impeccable.
