The staff were welcoming, and having a shared kitchen was useful. It’s a simple place, but clean and cozy, and seems well suited to families, workers, and representatives. The breakfast isn’t anything special, though the stay has a bit of a homey feel. The owner is open to discussing discounts. A good option if you’re arriving in, leaving from, or just passing through São Gonçalo do Amarante.

If you’re planning to visit Redinha or somewhere in the north zone, this is a good place to stay. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the air conditioning gets very cold. It works well for couples or groups of four. Breakfast is simple, healthy, and very Northeastern, with only a few choices, but it’s filling. Book ahead, since demand is high in both low and high season.

Casa do Mochileiro really lives up to its name. The rooms are good quality and the place is very quiet, a big difference from the poor-quality hostel I stayed at in Brasília. The owner was attentive and found me a private suite from 18 to 20/10, which helped me a lot since I’m unemployed. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there are good restaurants nearby for enjoying Northeastern food. It’s also easy to find app-based drivers, and the place is close to central Natal and the airport. I highly recommend it and hope to return on 15/11, God willing. Thanks to the owner.
