Just okay.

The breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with a good selection of cakes, savory snacks, and juices. The place is clean, smells fresh, and has a really pleasant feel to it. It's well located too, with plenty of places to eat at fair prices, and the staff treated us very well. I loved staying here.

The worst part was how we were treated. The woman working there was terribly indifferent to my friend and me from the moment we arrived, and another guest even asked why she spoke to us that way. On our last morning I went for breakfast at 8, and she was already telling me to leave, even though checkout was at 11. It was humiliating. When my little dog injured her eye, I went out for no more than 3 hours and was already getting messages telling me to follow the rules. We were made to take the dog out of the room at breakfast in front of other guests, and the woman asked in a way that made it seem like she hated animals. They charged about 500 more per night, and I still don't understand how this place counts as pet friendly if you pay a daily fee for the pet and can't leave it alone when you go out. We stayed over New Year's because it was the only accommodation my friend and I could get, and I felt embarrassed the whole four days. The room smelled terribly of sewage, the place is very old, and the room had an old sofa and plastic table. When it was time to clean and change the sheets, they didn't even replace the dirty bedding. I know prices go up in high season when demand is high, but I'd be embarrassed to charge that much for a place like this. They need to improve everything. I would never stay here again, even for free.

The bed was much too small for two, and the sofa was in really bad shape and extremely uncomfortable. The bigger issue, though, was the lack of consistency in what we were told. During our stay, someone from the pousada team said we could check out later. We understood that as a valid arrangement. The owner had first said checkout could be at 12, and when I asked whether we could go to the dunes, come back for a shower, and leave around 14, she said, “of course.” But when we returned, she wasn't there. She had left a guard with instructions to charge an extra half-day fee, which in practice ended up being the price of a full night. I know they don't offer half-days, since we were charged for a full night with breakfast, and I don't even have an invoice. After the owner's reply, I can only say it's really sad. My review reflects exactly what we experienced, especially the poor communication and inconsistency in the service. I wouldn't recommend it.
